Radiofrequency Facet Treatment

Arthritis in the spine occurs with osteoarthritis, disc herniation, or spine surgery. By placing a small radiofrequency probe at the location of the arthritis, a numbing energy can be delivered to the facet joint which reduces pain. This injection often causes minor discomfort and spasm at the treatment location for a couple of weeks. After approximately one month, prolonged relief is usually achieved.
